Machine Control: Act 3.1.1- Input/Output

Mini Switch:

not pressing switch, plugs 1 and 3

-unchecked

-zero

-voltage not present

pressing switch, plugs 1 and 3

-checked

-one

-voltage present

Plugs 1 and 2

-reversed from when it is in plugs 1 and 3

-switch constantly when it is in plugs 1 and 3

-when pressed the current is stopped

Analogs

Potentiometer

-range 49-55000hms

NTC Resistor

-value 1186

NTC Resistor warmed

-value 1140

Outputs

- one can change the direction of the motor shaft without switching between CW and CCW by putting power for 01 to CW or 02 for CCW.

14. when the reed switched and electromagnetic touch is a current through the reed switch moving it from zero to one

15. normally close

16. the more light the photoresistor recieves the less it can actually resist

17. there is no relationship

Conclusion

1. the two lines together means constantly on and the lines broken up means constantly off

2. resistance decreases as the NTC resistor heats up because warmer metals transfer current easier than cold metals allowing the current to travel through it easier.

For this program wheneverthe variable incriments are less than 5 the program will continue to repeat until the variable reaches 5.

Lost At Sea

the game was a group acticity in which we were simulated as being lost at sea and were given of 15 items that we had at our disposal. at first we had to list them in order of importance then we got in groups and listed the items in order of importance based off what our group thought.

personally i picked the shaving mirror as most important, because it is how you would signal a plane or ship if they came near. second i picked the water because you need wtaer and you cant drink ocean water. the least important object i thought would be the sextant because i dont know how to use them and we did not have a map of the atlantic, where we were stranded.

the coast guard list was generally the same as mine, because im a genius. the only difference was that they picked the oil second because it was vital for signalling.

the team picked the sextant last the water first and the miror second, genereally for the same reasons.

Content is King

1. i have a real passion for music, its my pride and joy. i love playing and listening to it. i plan to go to college for it and become an audio engineer.

2. a lot of bands to blogs to tell people about upcoming tours, shows, or events as well as any news on any new albums they are working on or coming out with.

3. i dont really see myself blogging, its not really my thing, but if i did i could see me blogging about my work if im working on a music related project and other stuff like that.

Tennis Ball Game

our challenge was to create a fast, efficient way to get a tennis ball through the hands of each person in our group before the other team. the tennis ball had to touch each persons hand, at first it could be simultaneously, then it had to be one at a time. we had to do this in a fast, efficient way because another team was trying to do the same thing and beat us.

our team came up with a few plans, but our end plan was by far the most efficient. it invovlved creating a tube slide for the ball with our hands. we used both our hands and created a circle in which the ball could travel through. we put spaces in between our hands so as to ensure that the ball did not touch any two peoples hands simultaneously. the execution of plan, in my opinion, could have gone better, but overall it went pretty well, after all we won the challenge, we had a faster time than the other team.

in the future i would keep the same basic idea for the plan, have a tube slide for the ball made with our hands. however, differently i would make sure the spaces bettween our hands are a constant efficient distance, so the distance between our hands is not too close that the ball touches two peoples hands simultaneously but not far enough away that the ball will fall through the space. aslo i would make sure our hands our lined up perfectly, so that the ball can travel through our hands as fast as possible.
